The Red Fever is a disease of mysterious origins, though it was thought to have entered Endirinn sometime in the last ten years. Brought by some traveling rogue, the Red Fever is carried by wolves and infects those who come into contact with the carrier. This is what makes the illness so terrifying and why so many have turned their backs on friends and family. Anyone could be infected and it's nearly impossible to tell in the early stages of the disease.
However, not every wolf is susceptible to the fever. There are those that, through the blessing of genetics, remain immune and will never become infected. These wolves can still, however, be carriers of the disease.
